3rd week gone

Yet again an uninteresting week has passed, been busy with more details of the same project as last week but towards the end of the week, I had recieved a new job to do at a shop in the V&A Waterfront...well its a renovation to be done at Vaughan Johnson's Wine Shop. This shop is pretty big, around 309msq, they want to turn that shop into 2, so all i had to do was go to the shop measure up the area in which they wanted the new shop, see where the dry wall is to be placed and a new door for the new shop. Didnt take too long, since the owners had give us the original bas plan of the shop and i needed to check up for a few more measurements...
And well that was my week, so far starting off slowly with recieving work to do... and had recieved a new brief from campus for STW, these work from my campus will be uploaded on my pages according to its subjects to it abreviations, on the right-hand side column of this blog.
Will keep u posted, cheers :)

Entering the Architectural world

Well I work in a firm in Town called, Vivid Architects. It is quite a big firm, so hope that I get projects to do of my own instead of doing small sections to a plan...
There are under 20 people working there, which felt a lil intimidating when i got there and met everyone, so going to be surrounded by professionals. But they were all very welcoming and checked up on me now n then if they weren't busy... got showed around and have my own desk :D... I sat in a meeting which involved renovations and adding on more stores to a mall, was very confusing, even my boss and co-workers were confused at the end of it, but they got what was needed to be done... i havent got a project yet :( sadly but as a trail that they check if i know how to use autocad i was given a ground floor plan of flats, which i had to redo exactly, pretty much like a local authority drawing, with drainage layouts and furniture, dimensiosn and annotations. Well got done with that today, got printed but because their autocad has ready templates, my lineweights came wrong but drawing overall was correct... Co-worker showed me the template, colour lines to use, like blue for the walls, red for furniture, and so on... completed that and now hoping for a step forward tomorrow, maybe go to site or work with someone on a project... well all i can do is wait and see... Wish me luck :D
